I have been blessed
Hello, My name is Eric ...
Writing one of these "about me" thingys is something I've wanted to do for some time because I have wanted that one person that visits sometimes (once every not so often), and really wants to know, or is just curious about who built this version of an internet expression. lol ... That sounds goofy to me too. Expressions, be it small or large ... whatever, it doesn't matter! I've just felt confined and sufficated to express any feelings or words about myself until recently. (pause) Anyway, ... I live in a house near a town where the walls are red and the trim around the doors and windows is black. In this small town where everyone literally knows everyone else, we all look out for another. They borrow cups of sugar and milk. And do they gossip? You'd be fool to believe they didn't. Good people! I enjoy relaxing with a beer, playing pool, or bowling, or golf, or with the company of good friends exchanging stories and laughing louder. I love being Outdoors best. From fishing in steams of the Black Hills, to lakes in Canada, to oceans that caress the shores of Alaska; hunting various game, big or small, all for the food, the rush, and the spirit; pitching a tent or sleeping under my bike because I choose to; the learning to becoming a pilot; life as a roadie ... WOW, the big rock shows; and then there is the traveling anywhere, anytime, at the drop of a hat ... just to get away, or to meet new people ... or just to drive 500 miles Only to see the smile on a friends face. =D ... Riding my Harleys, (a Fat Boy, "Jessika"; and a Road King, "Veronika") is what really keeps me going. (yes, as giddy as a schoolgirl) Riding on the open road is my bliss. A small group of us plan several rides for us to go on each year. We have the main ones, some new ones, and some strays. They are all good, but the one that we all look forward to is the big one. This ride will take us on a journey for thousands of miles and will render countless stories. Truely awesome!!! (pause) btw, I am presently looking for a Shovelhead. If you know of one for a reasonable price, let me know. In boxes or complete. 1983 black 80 c.i. Wide Glide (fxwg) is preferred, but I'm not too picky, just patient and frugal. How about any Panhead or a 74 shovel instead? The trucking industry is my present occupation. Driving a desk in a climate controled environment. It has been good to me over the years. Flexible hours and "Kick Ass" benefits. Downside is driving to the big city. The music played on my radio could be almost anything. Big Band to Rock to Classical to Metal to Jazz to Industrial. Music was a big thing for me in school and college. I had learned to play a number of instruments and different styles of various genres. My latest learning experience is the Didgeridoo. So far, it has been pretty fun. I pick it up whenever I get a few moments. I find myself buzzing my lips as to practice between practices. It looks pretty silly, but very necessary for playing such an instrument. Trying to get the circular breathing thing down. Wish I had learned this feat years ago while playing the saxophone. Just about the only sport I pay any attention to is football. Favorite teams are The Fighting Irish and the Steelers. Of course, I will watch college basketball or baseball if it's on. Especially "March Madness", that's pretty great. I loved hockey, but it is still really hard for me to watch after "The Big Wage Strike". Fuckers! I am an "Armed American" and Patriot of these great United States. Tears well in my eyes when I hear the National Anthem, and when I Pledge Allegience to the flag, One Nation Under GOD! I'm conservative, a realist, and not a conspiracy theorist. Rising taxes, big government, and their givaway programs that will suffocate this country. Their threats of gun control on the law abiding citizens only leaves guns in the hands of criminals. More people should learn to take responsibility for themselves and their own actions. Educate yourselves and question everything the mainstream "Bias Hatemonger" media has to say. (lol) Why aren't we drilling for oil on our own soil? Dust off and open your history books. We should and could have been drilling years ago. On a gallon of gas, what percent of taxes go to our government before and after the oil company gets it's percent? What did the government do for their take? Nothing! How about "Tort Reform" and "Term Limits"? ... Huh! >=| ... Okay, enough politics! There is a lot to be told, and a lot of memories about me, in my short life. From learning from my mistakes to living the dream. Having the greatest parents ever to support everything that I have ever been involved with. Graced with truely wonderful friends. You know the kind. "They are unmatched!" 3 English Setters named Jane, Sam, and Meg are great gifts from God. (new and updated photos to come) In good times and bad, the pups are always happy to see me. A dogs loyalty is unsurpassed. Sometimes I wish they could actually talk. example ... Driving down the road and Jane sits up in the passenger seat, and for extended periods of time will sit there, just looking around and watching as things rush by. What kinds of thoughts do think are running through her head during these moments?
As I get free time I will add more to this page. Mainly for me ... for now. But, think of it as an extra super short bio that jumps around. Spelling and Grammer will sometimes be out the door? It's a work in progress. =)

Until we meet again my friend,

~
